Not when I realized that academia was more concerned about protecting funding than it was concerned about doing what's right. Not when I saw how often organizations choose protecting themselves over doing what's right. Not when I was asked to compromise my values.
Every time the system asked me to choose between integrity and security, I chose integrity. Not once. Twice. At real personal cost, both times.
The PhD I walked away from. The regulatory career I built from the inside out. The team I rebuilt from the brink of collapse by doing the radical thing of treating people like humans. The resignation letter I wrote when staying would have required becoming someone I'm not.
Those aren't just stories. They're proof that you can survive choosing integrity — and that broken systems can actually be rebuilt.
The leaders I kept running into were drowning in the exact same problems I'd spent over a decade navigating. They could see what was wrong. They knew what needed to change.
They just didn't have the language, the frameworks, or anyone willing to stand next to them and say: yes, you're right, here's what's actually happening, and here's what we do about it.
So I stopped waiting for someone else to do it.
Now I work with leaders who are exhausted from being the only one in the room who sees it. We name what's broken, figure out what's actually yours to fix versus what belongs to the structure, and rebuild around real values instead of stated ones.
I'm also a tea lover (and coffee hater), a Gloomhaven enthusiast, someone who has never once followed a recipe's chocolate chip measurement instructions and never will, and a slow runner who does her best thinking mid-run. The way we build systems says everything about what we actually value — in organizations and in life.

Honestly,
Every leader leads differently. The problem is most of us were handed someone else's framework and told to make it work.
The Elemental Leadership Quiz cuts through that. In 3 minutes and 15 archetypes, you'll get a framework that's actually built around how you naturally think, act, and lead.
Learn about your strengths, your blind spots, and the small shifts that let you lead more effectively without becoming someone you're not.
Fair warning: the results tend to feel uncomfortably accurate.
Take the quiz — it's free, it takes 3 minutes, and you might finally have language for something you've known about yourself for years.
REBECCA HAS THIS WAY OF seeing details AND connecting the patterns THAT NOBODY ELSE IN THE ROOM has caught yet.
And when she sees something you haven't — she doesn't make you feel foolish for missing it. She lights up. She wants to walk you through it, talk it out, turn it over together until it clicks. The insight isn't something she holds over you. It's something she hands you.

REBECCA IS SO ORGANIZED AND gets things done — BUT not in a dictator way.
She's warm, genuine, and actually cares. She builds things with you, not at you.

YOU'VE BECOME A role model FOR THE TYPE OF LEADER I HOPE TO BE SOME DAY.
I've never received such positive, consistent, unbiased support before. Your support has been eye opening in such a good way.
